ISLAMABAD – Tourism in the Netherlands attracts visitors from around the world, and travellers from Pakistan planning a visit need to obtain the short-term Schengen before leaving for the journey.
For a Netherlands visit visa, applicants in Pakistan are required to submit their applications through the Gerry’s Visa Application Centre.
The first step is securing an appointment at the visa centre, followed by preparing and submitting the required documents.
Applicants generally need a passport with at least six months of validity, a completed visa application form, recent photographs according to Schengen requirements, bank statements from the previous six months, and a bank maintenance certificate.
Other supporting documents may include an employment letter or business records, tax returns if available, flight reservations, hotel bookings or an invitation letter, travel insurance meeting Schengen requirements, a travel itinerary and, where required, a Family Registration Certificate.
On the day of the appointment, applicants are required to visit the Gerry’s office where their documents are checked. Biometric information, including fingerprints, is collected, photographs may be taken if needed, and visa fees along with service charges are submitted.
After submission, the application is forwarded to the relevant Dutch authorities for review. A decision is generally issued within 15 calendar days, although some cases may require additional processing time.
Officials assess several factors before making a decision, including the purpose of travel, financial stability, travel history, strong links with the applicant’s home country and the authenticity of submitted documents.
